PSY nominated on Billboard Music Award 2 years in a row
[스포츠조선 = 이정혁 기자] Thanks to “GENTLEMAN,” PSY is nominated on Billboard Music Award for two consecutive years, following “GANGNAM STYLE.”
Billboard announced the list of final nominees of “2014 Billboard Music Award” on April 9 at 9 am (local time).
At the Music Award to be held on May 18 at Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena, PSY was nominated in the category of “Top Streaming Artist” along with MILEY CYRUS, KATY PERRY, IMAGINE DRAGONS, and MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS.
The nomination is done based on the numerical responses of the public on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter while also counting sales from album and digital singles, along with the number of times the artist appeared on radio.
PSY was nominated last year on 6 category including “Top Streaming Artist,” “Top New Artist,” and “Top Streaming Song (Video).” He received an award for the video part of “Top Streaming Song.”
