AKMU heightens expectations: Sneak Peek live video unveiled
[OSEN=권지영 기자] AKDONG MUSICIAN (AKMU) unveiled a live video clip.
On the official blog of YG Entertainment at 1 am on April 3, a live video clip under the title “AKMU-PLAY IN JEJU” was uploaded.
In the clip, the siblings LEE CHAN HYUK and LEE SOO HYUN work on tuning the sounds together and then smile happily. They are in a green forest of Jeju Island. The brother, dressed in a clean shirt with a cardigan and his sister, dressed in a white dress with long wavy hair, arouse much attention through their naïve charms.
AKMU drew attention by unveiling 4 songs from their upcoming 1st full album “PLAY,” unannounced. The first one is one of the title songs “200%,” where LEE CHAN HYUK’s rhythmical guitar harmonizes perfectly with their melodic voices.
In a playful mood they freely show off their charming musical talents by showcasing three songs, “ARTIFICIAL GRASS,” “MELTED” and “LITTLE STAR”, in a row.
“ARTIFICIAL GRASS” attracts the listeners with fresh lyrics; “I don’t need the sun or water. My life is full without those. I don’t worry about withering away. Stepped on or crushed, I don’t lose my color.”
The song “MELTED” leaves a strong impression as the lyrics describe adults as a maze along a sentimental melody, and more fresh words are introduced in “LITTLE STAR”: “Twinkle twinkle little star, shine some light one me. Do I look better now, the skies of east and west, when I look around, they all point to me.”
Many who watched the video are showing great expectations for the comeback of AKMU with highly unique songs. Some wrote, “Cannot wait till the 7th,” “AKMU’s album is a hit,” “Can’t wait to listen to all the songs,” “Their voices are amazing,” and “The songs and the lyrics are all astonishing.”
AKMU is to hold their debut stage on SBS’s K-Pop Star Season 3 on April 6 by performing “200%” and “MELTED.” On April 7 at noon, all the songs from their 1st debut album “PLAY” will be unveiled online.
