[스타뉴스 전형화 기자] YG Entertainment’s girl group 2NE1 (DARA, MINZY, BOM, and CL) took the No. 1 spot on SBS’s Inkigayo for the first time since making a comeback.

2NE1 won the first place on a live TV music program Inkigayo which was held at the SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong, Seoul, on March 16. They took the No. 1 spot for the first time on a TV music program after having a comeback performance with their 2nd regular album “CRUSH” at Mnet’s K-POP chart show called M Countdown on March 13.

2NE1 sang “COME BACK HOME” for their first performance, wearing charismatic outfits which reminded of female warriors, and commanded the stage with a powerful performance. Then, 2NE1 delivered a bubbly performance with another title track of the new album, “GOTTA BE YOU.”

When their name was announced as No. 1, 2NE1 shed tears of joy. DARA expressed her gratitude, saying, “I would like to sincerely thank YG Entertainment’s main producer Yang Hyun Suk for coming up with great choreography, TEDDY who is like a big brother to us, and our fans.” With 2NE1 winning the first place on Inkigayo, Korean girl groups entered into a fierce competition against each other because 2NE1 earned the No. 1 spot on Inkigayo while Girls’ Generation ranked first on all of the other TV music programs.

Starting with the K-POP chart show M Countdown on March 6, Girls’ Generation ranked No. 1 on all of the TV music programs they appeared; SBS’s Inkigayo on March 9, MBC Music’s Show! Champion on March 12, Mnet’s M Countdown on March 13, KBS 2TV’s Music Bank on March 14, and MBC’s Show! Music Core on March 15.

The competition between 2NE1 and Girls’ Generation on TV music programs is expected to get more fierce for a while.

Meanwhile, TVXQ!, Girls’ Generation, Toheart, 2NE1, Orange Caramel, Soyou & Junggigo, Sunmi, B.A.P, BTOB, LADIES’ CODE, Boys Republic, SoReal, TROY, AlphaBAT, and WINGS appeared on Inkigayo on March 16.
