TAEYANG Holds Solo Concert in San Francisco, USA, on the 26
[OSEN=이혜린 기자] BIGBANG’s member TAEYANG holds his first-ever solo concert in the USA, in San Francisco on the 26.
TAEYANG will meet local fans at BIMBO’S 365 club located in San Francisco, as he was invited to perform for “Music Experiment 2.0” (ME 2.0), a music event held jointly by MTV IGGY and Intel.
TAEYANG has held a concert in New Jersey and LA in BIGBANG’s world tour, but it is the first time that he holds a solo concert in the USA.
The concert is the second “Music Experiment”, which Intel has been holding since 2012. For this year’s event, Australian electronic band EMPIRE OF THE SUN, UK’s rising electronic duo DISCLOSURE, and world-class band ARCADE FIRE who was awarded Grammy’s “Album of the Year” in 2011, have held concerts at New York, Boston, and LA respectively.
TAEYANG not only ranks with world-class musicians on the stage of “Music Experiment 2.0”, but also makes the finale of the event.
TAEYANG expressed confidence in his new album in an interview with ME 2.0, by saying “I’ve worked on my new album for a long time and a variety of songs are in it. Since the album contains the music I really want to enjoy and the music that I made when I want to make it, I’m convinced that I’m going to the right direction.”
To a question about the secret of BIGBANG’s success, TAEYANG answered, “We create a big synergy and energy when we’re together. I think the secret is that because such energy is in our music and stage, people who see us get the energy, too.”
In the San Francisco concert, YG’s producer CHOICE 37 who wrote hit songs such as BIGBANG’s “BAD BOY” and G-DRAGON’s “ONE OF A KIND” will perform as a quest artist.
