T.O.P proves popularity by attracting 100,000 to Japan promotion event

[스타뉴스 안이슬 기자] BIGBANG’s Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P) successfully wrapped up the promotion event held in Japan in celebration of the film ‘Commitment’ release in the country.

On Nov 21, Japanese newspapers including Sankei Sports reported the promotion event held in Japan’s Yokohama Pacifico Yokohama Hall in celebration of local release of the film ‘Commitment’ (Director Park Hong Soo).

Choi Seung Hyun, who played the main character Lee Myung Hoon in ‘Commitment’ was present at the day’s event. According to the newspaper reports, BIGBANAG’s popularity in Japan was proved when 100,000 fans gathered at the event to see Choi Seung Hyun in person.

Choi Seung Hyun showed his deep enthusiasm for the event by suggesting the dress code of the event should be ‘black’. He told the fans, “I missed you” in Japanese, making them hyper excited. He also showed some photographs of his house to the fans.

On Dec 6 the film will be unveiled in the United States, and it will be released in Japan on January 25 next year. He told the fans, “It is really fulfilling that the film is being released in many different countries.”

‘Commitment’ is about a boy who accepts an offer to become a killer in South Korea to save his only family, his sister. The movie was released in South Korea on Nov 6, and attracted a whopping 1 million moviegoers on Nov 20.
