GD tops Music Bank for the first time in 4 years & thanks his fans
[스타뉴스 최보란 기자] G-DRAGON from BIGBANG (consisting of other members DAESUNG, T.O.P., TAEYANG and SEUNGRI) topped the chart on Music Bank, a music program on which he appeared for the first time in 4 years.
He made an appearance to perform one of the songs titled ‘Crooked’ from his album on the show, which was aired on Sept 27 at 6:30p.m. on KBS 2TV.
This is his first appearance on the show as a solo in 4 years since 2009. With the rest of BIGBANG members, he made an appearance in March 2011 for their 4th album.
G-DRAGON dominated the stage with a charismatic performance of ‘Crooked’, dressed in black leather jacket.
His name was called for the #1 singer of the week, and G-DRAGON commented, “It’s been a while since I appeared on Music Bank and I am honored to receive this award. I would very much like to visit the show more often in the future.” He then moved on to thank his fans and related personnel.
G-DRAGON has been sweeping the music world with all the songs from his latest album, which were separately revealed on Sept 2, 5 and 13.
He has also been spotlighted by foreign media when he was chosen as the one and only Best New Artist by American music cable channel FUSE TV on Sept 25. The achievement is more meaningful as musicians around the world were nominated for this position. The result, which is the total number of votes from international fans, proved his borderless popularity.
