JINUSEAN Held their First Solo Concert in 18 Years Joined by Fellow Musicians and 3,500 Fans
[스타뉴스=길혜성 기자] The original hip hop duo JINUSEAN (JINU & SEAN) ended their first solo concert in 18 years successfully, enthralling 3,500 fans.
On December 13, JINUSEAN held a solo concert titled “JINUSEAN NIGHT” at the Olympic Hall of the Seoul Olympic Park. It the first time that JINUSEAN held a concert since they debuted in 1997.
JINUSEAN made the audience go wild by singing their old hit songs such as “TELL ME”, “HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE”, and “PHONE NUMBER” as well as “TELL ME ONE MORE TIME”, which was released this year. They also sang the songs of close fellow musicians: DJ DOC’s “I’m a Guy Like This” and PSY’s “DADDY”.
At the concert, JINUSEAN showed the strength of a seasoned 18-year-old hip hop group by showing totally different charms: sometimes they were fierce, and at other times they were emotional.
JINUSEAN is known to have a lot of celebrity friends, and many fellow musicians came to their concert as guests. DJ DOC, Uhm Jung-hwa, SE7EN, EPIK HIGH, SONG MINHO of WINNER, B.I & BOBBY of iKON, Zion.T, and Ailee put on a solo performance or a joint performance with JINUSEAN to celebrate their first concert. G-DRAGON of BIGBANG also congratulated them through a video message. YANG HYUN SUK, the CEO of YG Entertainment, came to watch the concert to show JINUSEAN his support.
SE7EN thanked JINUSEAN by saying, “If it weren’t for JINUSEAN, me, 1TYM, BIGBANG, 2NE1 would not have been able to debut. I’ve known them for about 16 or 17 years now, and they are so nice to the trainees.” He went on to say, “Congratulations on your first solo concert since your debut!” He sang his hit songs “Passion” and “Come Back to Me” and captured the hearts of 3,500 people in the audience.
Actress/singer Uhm Jung-hwa also came to congratulate JINUSEAN’s first concert. Since she features on JINUSEAN’s biggest hit song “TELL ME”, Uhm Jung-hwa and JINUSEAN performed the song on the stage.
She said to JINUSEAN, “Congratulations on your first solo concert and I hope you will continue this momentum and be happy.” When JINUSEAN said, “You look more beautiful that when we were singing ‘TELL ME’ back then”, she smiled and thanked them. Uhm Jung-hwa also performed her song “Poison” and heated up the atmosphere.
JINUSEAN’s first solo concert in 18 years was a cheerful one bringing together JINUSEAN, fellow musicians, and the fans.
