[Exclusive] WIN’s SONG MIN HO turns out to be a former member of BoM for 2 years
[enews24 김지연 기자] SONG MIN HO, the leader of Team A on YG Entertainment’s reality program that determines the formation of a new boy group, turned out to be a former member of a band named BoM for 2 years.
As the leader of Team A, SONG is working hard with the rest of the members KANG SEUNG YOON, LEE SEUNG HOON, KIM JINWOO and NAM TAE HYUN on Mnet’s ‘WHO IS NEXT:WIN’, the aforementioned reality TV show.
YANG HYUN SUK once commented that SONG reminds him of ‘1 Tym’s Teddy’ for his remarkable rapping skills. Expectations for the trainee are building up.
But it turns out SONG MIN HO once was a member of a band BoM, which made a debut on July 28 in 2011 with the single ‘You’re Not There’. SONG had been carrying out his career as a musician for 2 years under a different name, Tagun. BoM is a band consisting of other member Meng Sae Chang, who debuted as a child actor. The band attracted much attention when it was first formed. For 2 years, BoM released 2 albums including ‘Without You’ and ‘Dear Feelings, Dear Heart’. The band also made an appearance on channel A’s music drama ‘K-Pop Extreme Survival.’
The facts checked by eNEWS with the help of Yoo Byeong Sul, BoM’s producer, proves Tagun and SONG are in fact the same person. Yoo, who carefully answered the questions, said, “SONG was the member of BoM, with a different name Tagun. We are very fond of him, and I sincerely hope that he succeeds in the future.”
He added, “I paid special attention to him. He was the hardest working member of BoM, so I always thought he would do well. I hope he achieves his dreams.”
The comments by Yoo is already proven on the reality show ‘WIN’, as SONG is one of the most diligent members in the team. Many are keen to find out whether he would be able to perform on stage once again as a professional singer.
WIN is a real project that determines the formation of the first boy group since BIGBANG’s debut 8 years ago. The 11 trainees at YG Entertainment are divided into Teams A and B for a cutthroat battle. The winner depends solely on the spectators.
