2NE1’s new song ‘DO YOU LOVE ME’ unveiled on M Countdown: expectations heighten
[한국아이닷컴 조현주 기자] 2NE1’s new summer song was revealed for the first time on television program on Mnet’s M Countdown in the evening of August 8.
On M Countdown, 2NE1 unveiled the comeback performance of their summery and bubbly new song ‘DO YOU LOVE ME’.
The particular song swept across 8 major music charts immediately after its release on August 7. ‘DO YOU LOVE ME’ is a dreamy song that describes the feeling of a woman in love. Following the ‘harp dance’ move in their previous song, this time the group showcased powerful but feminine charms in the new choreography.
2NE1 has always performed charismatically on stage, but this time they returned after going through much transformation in their style.
At the same time, ex-contestants of Superstar K made a comeback on M Countdown as well. The winner of the show in season 3, Ulala Session, disclosed their Blues and Trot combined song ‘Ponki’ for the first time.
The song drew much attention as the respected-singer Seol Undo once participated in performing ‘Ponki’ with Ulala Session before. The group performed the fun and bubbly song that made the audience lighten up.
Superstar K4’s Dick Punks made a comeback with their song ‘Sunglasses,’ which describes people who do not reveal their inner feelings.
M Countdown that was aired on August 8 was filmed on August 3 at Seoul Plaza under the title ‘Summer Special M Super Concert’, with Brown Eyed Girls’ Miryo and Narsha as special MC’s.
At the concert, f(x), EXO, 2NE1, Empire, Crayon Pop, Brown Eyed Girls, Dick Punks, Girl’s Day, Big Star, Lim Jung-hee, Colla Voice, Yoo Seung-eun, WASSUP, KANG SEUNG YOON, A.O.A., Mr. Mr., A Pink, VIXX, A-Jax, Ulala Session and Queen B’z were present to deliver dynamic performances.
