[Exclusive] GD meets Jackie Chan: GD to perform at Jackie Chan-hosted charity concert in China
[스타뉴스 길혜성 기자] BIGBANG’s (consisting of members G-DRAGON (GD), T.O.P., TAEYANG, DAESUNG & SEUNGRI) leader GD will be performing at a special concert hosted by the world-renowned action film legend Jackie Chan.
GD will be appearing as a special guest at the Jackie Chan-hosted charity concert, which will be held in China’s Hangzhou Huanglong Stadium on September 30.
The charity concert is both to celebrate Jackie Chan’s acting in more than 100 films, while also fund raising to help Sichuan people recover from the disastrous earthquake.
As this concert holds special meaning to Jackie Chan, the event will not only accompany famous Chinese actors who are close friends with Jackie Chan but also highly popular stars in the entire Asia region.
GD’s invitation to perform at this concert proves that his popularity has no borders. GD accepted the invite without a moment of hesitation, as he understood the concert will be helping many who are in need.
On August 5, GD’s agency told Star News, “GD’s participation in the Jackie Chan-hosted concert has been confirmed. He will be performing 3 songs in total, and will be meeting with Jackie Chan personally afterwards.”
The concert will draw much attention as Asia’s two tops, the top action film star and the top idol artist will meet.
Meanwhile, GD is scheduled to release his solo regular 2nd album at the end of this month. It is his first solo regular album in exactly 4 years since the very 1st one in August 2009.
GD is fully in charge of the entire album production this time. It is already arousing attention as world’s hip-hop legend Missy Elliott participated in the making of his newest album.
Immediately after GD’s solo regular 2nd album release, he will be holding an exclusive concert at Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena on August 31 and September 1.
