BABYMONSTER Takes the Baton from TREASURE, While BLACKPINK Continues Their Global Dominance, YG Artists on a Roll

[마이데일리=이승길 기자] YG Entertainment’s lineup of powerhouse artists is continuing their unstoppable momentum.
Following TREASURE, who invited fans into their “PARADISE” last month, and BLACKPINK, who have been captivating global audiences with their “JUMP” stages during their ongoing world tour, YG’s youngest group BABYMONSTER is now gearing up to carry the torch.
The group will make their long-awaited comeback with their second mini album [WE GO UP] on October 10 at 1 p.m. (KST). The album features four tracks, the hip-hop-driven title track “WE GO UP,” the catchy “PSYCHO,” the R&B-infused “SUPA DUPA LUV,” and the country-pop dance track “WILD.”
“WE GO UP” channels BABYMONSTER’s powerful energy and their determination to soar higher, highlighting YG’s signature hip-hop roots. Each track explores a distinct sonic color, reflecting the group’s expanding musical range and versatility. Having captivated listeners with their dynamic sound and stage charisma since debut, BABYMONSTER is now set to unveil their next chapter. It’s been revealed that even amid their successful <HELLO MONSTERS> world tour, the members were hard at work preparing this comeback, a testament to their dedication and drive.
Their upcoming release marks the next leap forward for BABYMONSTER, whose stage experience and confidence have grown immensely through performing across 20 cities and 32 shows worldwide.

Meanwhile, TREASURE recently melted hearts with their third mini album [LOVE PULSE], a collection of songs exploring youth and love. Led by Executive Producer Yang Hyun-suk, the group attracted major buzz with the rare public release of their choreography practice video. Tracks including the title “PARADISE,” along with “EVERYTHING,” “NOW FOREVER,” and “BETTER THAN ME,” received
warm acclaim.
The album marked a new career high for TREASURE, achieving million-seller first-week sales, and signaling a strong start to their “second chapter.” Following diverse promotions, TREASURE will kick off their 2025–2026 world tour at KSPO DOME in Seoul from October 10–12, before meeting fans across Japan and Asia, passing the baton to BABYMONSTER as they continue their global relay.

As for BLACKPINK, the world-class quartet is in the midst of a monumental run. Having returned as a full group after nearly 22 months with their world tour <DEADLINE>, which began in Goyang, Korea last July, the group recently passed the halfway mark of the tour.
BLACKPINK made history as the first K-pop girl group to headline London’s Wembley Stadium, completing their Europe and North America legs with resounding success. They will continue their tour in Kaohsiung (Oct. 18–19), Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, performing across 16 cities and 33 shows, mostly in stadium-scale venues that can accommodate
tens of thousands of fans.
Their single “JUMP” recently surpassed 300 million streams on Spotify, and reports suggest the group is already preparing a new album, keeping the spotlight firmly on YG Entertainment’s powerhouse artists as they dominate global stages and charts.
