[한국경제=김수영 기자 Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK of YG Entertainment has unveiled the plans for its artists for 2025, sparking excitement among fans. On December 2, through the YG Entertainment YouTube channel, the video titled “TREASURE News & 2025 YG Plan” was released.
YANG HYUN SUK stated, “2025 will be a bustling year for YG with numerous activities planned. Not only TREASURE and BABYMONSTER but also AKMU are set, and WINNER is expected to tour. It’s also the year BLACKPINK starts their world tour, so it could be busier than ever.”
Specifically for TREASURE, he revealed that the new song ‘LAST NIGHT’ will be pre-released on December 5, followed by a mini-album in February next year. Additionally, plans are in place to release a full album around July to August next year.
YANG HYUN SUK promised, “Next year, we will strive to engage in many activities that we couldn’t do this year.” He is preparing for an event in March, and a world tour is anticipated around October, noting, “We will visit as many places as possible where fans have been eager to see TREASURE, not just in Asia.”
Moreover, he hinted at a shift in TREASURE’s music style. “So far, we have chosen strong and intense songs like ‘JIKJIN’, ‘BONA BONA’, and the recently released ‘KING KONG’ as title tracks. This time, we are preparing an album with music that will allow TREASURE to express their genuine feelings, offering a more comfortable approach to the fans.”
The team leader roles will also change. YANG HYUN SUK mentioned, “Since their debut, HYUN SUK and JIHOON have done a great job as leaders, but with ten members, we thought about rotating the leadership every two to three years.” Starting from January 1 next year, JUNKYU and ASAHI will take on the roles of co-leaders.
Regarding the launch of a new group, he added, “There are quite a few trainees at YG currently waiting to debut. We will provide more specifics about the debut date later,” increasing the anticipation.
On this day, the stock price of YG Entertainment touched 50,000 KRW at 1:26 PM, up 4.71% from the previous trading day.
