[OSEN=지민경 기자] BABYMONSTER is returning with their signature YG-style original hip-hop swag. Today at 1 PM, BABYMONSTER will release their first full-length album, [DRIP], marking their first comeback since their official debut.
After their debut on April 1 with their first mini album ‘BABYMONSTER,’ the seven-member group will showcase their evolved capabilities with their first full-length album seven months later.
Since their debut, the members of BABYMONSTER have been spotlighted for their live performance skills, particularly after their intense stage presence during their previous title track ‘SHEESH.’ The song ‘SHEESH’ also climbed to the top of the music charts in a reverse-run, proving their monster rookie capabilities.
Following a successful debut, BABYMONSTER wrapped up their first fan meeting tour, ‘BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE,’ spanning four months over 12 sessions in seven cities. They also participated in Japan’s largest music festival, ‘Summer Sonic 2024,’ gaining various global stage experiences.
In light of their growing popularity, the release of their first full-length album [DRIP] has garnered global attention. In response, YG Entertainment has announced a major project that includes producing more than three music videos, follow-up promotions for album tracks, and plans for a world tour next year.
Two days before the album release, BABYMONSTER pre-released the music video for the double title track ‘CLIK CLAK,’ capturing a sensational black and white aesthetic and the raw YG-style original hip-hop vibe, sparking explosive reactions and properly heating up their comeback.
With another title track ‘DRIP’ to be released today, fans are skyrocketing with curiosity, especially since G-DRAGON has been involved in the songwriting, though no further details have been revealed, raising even higher expectations.
