BABYMONSTER’s ‘BATTER UP’ MV Surpasses 50 Million Views, Setting a New Record for the Fastest K-Pop Debut Song

According to YG Entertainment on the 1st, BABYMONSTER’s ‘BATTER UP’ music video surpassed 50 million views around 7:48 AM that day. This achievement was made in about 103 hours since its release at midnight on the 27th, making it the fastest among all K-pop group debut song music videos. It took roughly 4 days and 8 hours.

Previously, the ‘BATTER UP’ music video had broken the record for the most views in 24 hours for a K-pop debut song music video, surpassing 22.59 million views within 24 hours of its release. Powered by the passionate love of global fans, it continues to maintain an explosive trend even four days later.

In fact, ‘BATTER UP’ is achieving excellent results on various global charts. Immediately upon release, the music video shot straight to number one on the global YouTube daily popular music video chart and has maintained its throne for four consecutive days. It also topped the MV charts on major local music streaming sites such as Japan’s Line Music and China’s QQ Music.

The increase in subscribers on the official YouTube channel is also remarkable. Since the release of the music video (November 27th), the number of subscribers has increased by nearly 380,000, reaching 3.65 million.
