[MBC연예=김혜영 기자] The dance performance video for BLACKPINK’s JISOO’s ‘FLOWER’ has surpassed 100 million views.
According to YG Entertainment on the 8th, JISOO’s ‘FLOWER’ choreography video surpassed 100 million YouTube views around 10:25 pm the previous day. This was achieved approximately 92 days after its release on April 6.
With this, BLACKPINK now holds a total of 43 contents with over 100 million views, with ‘FLOWER’ being the 17th based on choreography videos. The explosive views of both music videos and dance videos are a hallmark of BLACKPINK, and a testament to the global music fans’ heated interest in their overwhelming performances.
The title song ‘FLOWER’ from JISOO’s first solo album ‘ME’ stands out with its unique bass sound and minimal arrangement. The music video shot to first place on YouTube worldwide trending as soon as it was released, achieved 100 million views in just 7 days, and currently has over 300 million views.
‘FLOWER’ also made notable achievements on various global charts. It topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 64 countries including the US, and also ranked second on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S charts.
It also ranked 6th on the Spotify Daily Top Songs Global chart, 38th on the UK Official Singles Top 100 chart, and set a new record for a K-pop female solo artist by surpassing 100 million Spotify streams in just 32 days. The album ‘ME’ that includes this song became the first album by a K-pop female solo artist to become a ‘million-seller’, selling 1,172,351 copies in just one week.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently conducting their world tour ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ‘BORN PINK”, which is drawing about 1.5 million people.
