BABYMONSTER’s Youngest Trainee, 13-Year-old CHIQUITA From Thailand Presents Unrivaled Vocals

YG Entertainment unveiled the ‘BABYMONSTER (#3) – CHIQUITA (Live Performance)’ clip on their social media on the 23rd of January.
Following HARAM and AHYEON, CHIQUITA performed JJ Lin’s ‘Bedroom (Feat. Anne-Marie)’ with her own style.
Being 13 years old, CHIQUITA is the youngest member among the trainees revealed so far. Despite being 13, she interpreted the song in her own way, portraying the complicated emotions one can feel after a breakup. She amazed the viewers with her technique of going back and forth falsetto and modal voice.
The cover clip of CHIQUITA from Thailand spread quickly online after it was released. It was the first time she presented her skills through YG’s official content, and many praised her for being an ‘all-rounder’.
BABYMONSTER is a multi-national girl group YG is releasing in 7 years and most of them are known to be in their teens. YANG HYUN SUK appeared as the executive producer in 3 years and 6 months and notified their debut himself.
The number of subscribers on their official YouTube channel surpassed 600,000 and their accumulated views have already reached 60 million.
With members being introduced to the public one by one ever since their first video on January first, attention is being drawn to when they will make their official debut.
