‘YG’s New Rookie Group’ BABY MONSTER Unveils First Clip…BLACKPINK JENNIE & LISA Compliments the Group
[더팩트=박지윤 기자] BABY MONSTER, YG Entertainment’s new girl-group which comes in 7 years, has unveiled itself.
YG Entertainment (hereinafter YG) put up a video called ‘YG NEXT MOVEMENT’ at 12:00AM of the 1st of January. YG officially announced the launching of BABY MONSTER, and drew attention for revealing the 7 members for the first time to the world.
BABY MONSTER is a new girl-group which comes in 7 years since YG launched BLACKPINK. Members became YG trainees after going against thousands of applicants each, and became part of the group after going through an average of 4 years of training. Most of the girls are known to be in their teenage years.
Curiosity ran even high as YG’s executive producer YANG HYUN SUK and other senior YG artists such as BLACKPINK JENNIE and LISA, WINNER, and AKMU appeared in the clip and talked about how they felt about the group.
YG artists complimented the member’s talent and skills saying that “They’re the type of singers that’s hard to find in Korea”, “Has the charm to steal attention right away”, and “There weren’t many talents that were this good”.
BLACKPINK JENNIE said “They’re really good overall”, and LISA said “All 7 members seem to fit each other really well”. LISA also showed how much love she has for the group by directing their choreography class herself.
With compliments pouring in by other YG artists, attention was drawn to the 7 members who were shown to the public for the first time. Details such as names, age, and nationality haven’t been unveiled just yet. YG plans to release their information and detailed profiles of the members through continuous promotion, starting off with the first video they revealed today.
According to industry officials, the following program was put in place to showcase BABY MONSTER’s skills and talents to the public first and ask for their evaluation, as they’re still trainees and haven’t made their official debut. Members prepared for this program for the past year, and the results will soon be unveiled to the public.
Attention is now being drawn to what kind of skills and talents BABY MONSTER will present to the world, as they’ve already garnered global attention for being YG’s new girl-group which comes in 7 years since BLACKPINK, the most renowned girl-group in the world.
