Choices & Concentration…Attention Drawn to YG’s 7-member Girl Group in 7 years
[OSEN=박판석 기자] A new girl group by YG Entertainment will be unveiled in 7 years. YG Entertainment wrote the success story of 2NE1 and BLACKPINK through their choices and concentration. Now, they’ve notified of a mega scale girl-group that will put this world into shock in 2023.
YG Entertainment put up the ‘YG NEXT MOVEMENT’ poster at 3 PM of the 30th . The poster said ‘COMING SOON’ at 2023.01.01 0AM (KST). The poster also showed silhouettes of 7 girls, hinting that they’re a 7-member girl-group.
So far, YG Entertainment has been launching idols that have both the look and skills through years of training. Attention is being drawn to their new girl-group as they haven’t launched one for 7 years. BLACKPINK made their debut after 7 years 2NE1 made their debut, and this new girl-group also comes in 7 years since BLACKPINK made their debut.
One thing that also caught the public’s attention is that the group is consisted of 7 members. Compared to 2NE1 and BLACKPINK which were both a 4-member girl group, 3 more members have been added to this new group, and curiosity is running high as to which kind of charming trainees made it to the final cut.
Competition is fierce in the K-Pop industry among 4th generation girl-groups, and there aren’t that much information about YG’s new mysterious girl-group. This is another reason why music fans are paying more attention their debut. The only thing that is known, is that they’re mid-to-late teenagers that have trained for an average of 4~5 years, and are those who auditioned from around the globe.
Since BLACKPINK is making their presence clear as a global top girl-group, it’s most likely that YG’s new high-teen girl group will take over the K-Pop scene, living up to the agency’s reputation.
With the debut of their new girl-group, YG Entertainment will also likely add to the already booming K-Pop phenomenon. Adding to this, interest is also drawn to what music the group will present, and how different it will be from BLACKPINK.
