‘D-1 Comeback’, Winner “Tried Portraying Our Own Charms”…Drops Album Sampler
[텐아시아=김서윤 기자] Group WINNER released part of their songs from their new album a day before their comeback as a whole group.
On the 4th, YG Entertainment unveiled the sampler for WINNER’s 4th mini-album ‘HOLIDAY’ on their official social media platform. It was a video that showed not only the distinctive characteristics of each song, but it indirectly showed how enthusiastically the members took part in the album, drawing keen attention.
To begin with, the key chorus of the title song ‘I LOVE U’ caught the attention of listeners. The upbeat melody that portrays the feeling of excitement when falling in love was outstanding. It gave a cool refreshing vibe to beat through the heat, raising expectations on how popular it will be during this summer.
’10 MIN’, the next track of the title-song, has a retro-style Eurodance pop song that makes listeners’ dance to the beat. With its sweet lyrics saying they would go anywhere in 10 minutes if it is for someone they love, the song made listeners indulge in imagination.
‘HOLIDAY’, which has the same title as the album name, was a sexy yet trendy moombahton style song. The house-style reggae rhythm created perfect harmony with the unique tone of WINNER members.
Also, ‘SWEET HOME’, a warm lyrical track which shows the perfect harmony between the piano and harmonica sound, ‘FAMILY’, which is a song that combines a simple pluck theme source, 808 drum, and an acoustic guitar sound, and ‘LITTLE FINGER’ which has comfortable chorus and atmosphere were contained in the album
WINNER said, “We really worked hard to portray our own charms into each song. We hope listeners can enjoy it too and take back a sense of healing.”
Meanwhile, all tracks of WINNER’s ‘HOLIDAY’ will be released at 6PM on July 5th. The members will meet with their fans an hour earlier through a ‘COUNTDOWN LIVE’ session which will be broadcast simultaneously on WINNER’s YouTube channel and TikTok account.
