According to YG Entertainment on the 23rd, the M/V for BLACKPINK’s ‘BOOMBAYA’ surpassed 1.4 billion views on YouTube as of 5:56 AM. The feat comes after 5 years and 8 months since it was released, and BLACKPINK’s 3rd video to reach 1.4 billion views.

‘BOOMBAYAH’ is one of the double title songs of BLACKPINK’s debut single album ‘SQUARE ONE’ which was released in August 2016. Their recent feat indicates global fans’ everlasting love for the group, despite the fact that it’s been 6 years since it’s been released.

BLACKPINK has so far produced 32 clips that have gone beyond hundreds of millions of views. Out of them 6 music videos have more than 1 billion views, an indicator of their unrivaled presence as a K-POP girl group.

In fact, the M/V for their other hit-song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ currently has around 1.854 billion views, maintaining their title as the first, best, and most K-POP group music video. The M/V for their other hit-song ‘Kill This Love’ is also heading towards 1.6 billion views.
