All Songs From BLACKPINK’s First Full Album Reaches 100 million Streams on Spotify
[스포티비뉴스=김원겸 기자] BLACKPINK marked a meaningful record with all their songs on their first full album reaching hundred of millions of streams on Spotify.
According to YG Entertainment on the 13th, ‘You Never Know’, which was a track-song on their first full album ‘THE ALBUM’, reached 100 million streams on Spotify the same morning.
‘You Never Know’ is a an urban stayle R&B/Soul song with sentimental lyrics and melody. BLACKPINK proved their colorful musical characteristics and outstanding singing abilities.
With this result, all of BLACKPINK’s songs listed on their first full album (8 songs) got put up on Spotify’s music list which reached more than 100 million streams.
Ahead of ‘You Never Know’, ‘How You Like That (600 million streams)’, ‘Icecream (400 million streams)’, ‘Pretty Savage (300 million streams)‘, ’Love sick girls (300 million streams)’, Better With you’, ‘Crazy Over You’, and ‘Love to Hate Me’ had reached more than 100 million streams on Spotify.
BLACKPINK now has a total of 22 songs including track-songs from their first full album ‘THE ALBUM’ which exceeded 100 million streams on Spotify. This is the most, first, and best result, sowing their presence as a top class girl-group.
Their album results are also spectacular. BLACKPINK’s first full album became the first million seller of a K-pop girl group with more than 1.3 million copies being sold, and ranked second on both the U.S. Billboard 200 and the U.K. official charts. This is also the highest ranking ever for a K-pop girl group.
