According to YG Entertainment on the 26th, the M/V for ‘Kill This Love’ reached more than 1.4 billion views as of 5:58 p.m. the previous day.
BLACKPINK therefore has become the first K-POP group to have two music videos that reached more than 1.4 billion views. ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ which recently reached 1.7 billion views previously broke this record first.
The M/V for ‘Kill This Love’ took over the hearts of fans from all around the world with their powerful yet charismatic dance moves and sophisticated visualization. Their unique point choreography of shooting a gun and addictive dance moves received impressive reviews, and was the only K-POP song that got listed on YouTube’s ’10 Most Watched Music Videos of 2019’, released by YouTube.
Meanwhile LISA’s solo single album ‘LALISA’ which was released on the 10th is taking over various global charts, and the number of BLACKPINK’s YouTube subscribers is also showing an explosive increase. They currently have more than 67.3 million subscribers, which is the most among both male and female artists from around the world.
