YG Keeps Their Promise to Prepare an Independent Spae for the Fans!
[OSEN=최나영 기자] YG Entertainment kept their promise to create an independent space for the fans in a building located across their new headquarters.
YG Entertainment revealed that they will open the project space ‘the SameE’, which will connect the fans and artists, on June 1.
Located in front of YG’s new Seoul headquarters, the building is composed of a café where people can relax and enjoy beverages, an MD shop, and an event·exhibition hall.
The project started with the theme, ‘Fans are the alter ego of the artists’. The name of the project space, ‘the SameE’, also means that it is a space prepared so that the fans and the artists can rest at the same place at the same time.
The slogan of ‘the SameE’ is ‘Alter Ego’. It symbolizes a close friend or an alter ego. One can notice YG’s intent to understand the worlds of the fans and the artists, as well as their goal to become the medium to strengthen their bond.
Last year on September, YG gathered the people’s attention by announcing that they will move into their new headquarters, completed after 8 years of construction, and that they are preparing convenient facilities for the fans nearby.
YG happily announced, “Since we prepared an independent space in a building located across our new headquarters, our fans who have visited to see the artists can now enjoy various convenient facilities indoors without suffering outside with the hot or cold weather”.
YG added, “We are planning to share the idea that the artist exists because of the fans and that the fans are an alter ego of artists through the project space, ‘the SameE’”.
Meanwhile, YG has celebrated their 25th anniversary this year. They have produced various global artists including BIGBANG, BLACKPINK, WINNER, iKON, AKMU, SECHSKIES, and TREASURE, while the agency is also home to many famous and talented actors and actresses.
