TREASURE’s ‘Three Meals a Day’, Sloppy But Tasty

[동아닷컴=홍세영 기자] TREASURE made a challenge of living a self-sufficient life for a day, making the global fans smile by presenting a ‘healing variety show’ of handling all three meals by themselves.

On ‘TREASURE MAP’ Season 2 episode 42 revealed by YG Entertainment on the 16th, the members of TREASUER spent the night on a quiet village while struggling to survive.

TREASURE, who failed on the wake-up mission, had to prepare lunch by themselves. Labor clothes including flower pattern baggy pants and arm warmers were given to the members who headed to the kitchen.

As a result, an extraordinary and glamorous fashion show began, while CHOI HYUN SUK grabbed the people’s attention by mimicking BOBBY’s performance of ‘U MAD’.

The members then selected their lunch menu and started to cook. The menu selected by TREASURE for lunch was potato sujebi. The members split parts from cutting potatoes, cutting green pumpkin and onions, making flour dough, and filling up the pot with water.

The flour dough team, the most essential in cooking sujebi, moved under MASHIO, the ‘Cooking King in his own way’. They made all preparations including the kneading and whipping for the chewy texture and rapping after sprinkling water to provide moisture.

After making a perfect preparation, the members began to season the sujebi. JIHOON, PARK JEONG WOO, and HARUTO put in soy sauce without actual measurement but with their senses, presenting their cooking skills they’ve been working on.

However, PARK JEONG WOO put in more soy sauce and salt after tasting the soup and saying it’s ‘too bland‘, and JIHOON revived the taste of the soup using the magical ramen soup base.

The final highlight, flour dough ripping began. The members ripped the prepared flour dough themselves and put them in the soup. Sujebi should have thin and wide shapes, but sujebi made by TREASURE had all kinds of shapes and forms, implying the characters of each member.

The members who tasted the meal made remarks such as “The soup is amazing” and “It’s actually tasty’, praising their self-cooked sujebi. On the question, “Who wants more?”, YOSHI, MASHIHO, ASAHI, and DOYOUNG lined up and got a refill.

The taste of their lunch menu, sujebi, was satisfactory. Next week, episode 43 of ‘TREASURE MAP’ will show whether TREASURE’s self-sufficient three meals a day challenge has succeeded or not.
