YG TREASURE at No. 1 on Oricon for 2 Consecutive Days… First Terrestrial Network Performance Today
[OSEN=선미경 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE, currently ranked at no. 1 on Japan’s Oricon Charts, will make their first appearance on a local terrestrial network show and lead their popularity.
According to YG Entertainment, TREASURE will appear on Japan Nippon TV ‘Buzz Rhythm’ on the 2nd and perform ‘BOY’, the title track from their album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’.
‘Buzz Rhythm’ is the representative program of Nippon TV, which has featured not only famous Japanese artists such as AKB48, Morning Musume’15, and Perfume, but also global stars. Since TREASURE’s popularity is on the rise after their official Japanese debut on March 31, the people are expected to pay keen attention to their appearance.
In fact, TREASURE’s first Japanese album topped the Daily Albums chart of Oricon, the biggest music portal site in Japan, as well as the Albums Top 100 chart of Line Music, for 2 consecutive days(3/31~4/1), ‘Going Crazy’, the signal song from ‘YG TRASURE BOX’, and ‘I LOVE YOU’ were also placed on the top ranks of major music charts including Line Music and Rakuten Music.
TREASURE was expected to bring sensation to the Japanese music market. Songs that were pre-released before their actual debut including ‘BOY’, ‘I LOVE YOU’, ‘MMM’, and ‘MY TREASURE’ have all been ranked at no. 1 on major music charts. Songs ‘BOY’ and ‘MY TREASURE’ has dominated Line Music’s Weekly Chart for 2 consecutive weeks, proving their extraordinary popularity.
TREASURE’s first Japanese album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ contains a total of 13 songs. The album includes 12 Japanese versions of songs that were locally popular despite the lyrics being Korean, and the song ‘BEAUTIFUL’, which is a theme song from the animation ‘Black Clover’.
