TREASURE Appears on ‘You Heeyeol’s Sketchbook’.. You Heeyeol, “Really Good”
[스타뉴스=한해선 기자] Group TREASURE presented not only their witty talk skills but also a dominant performance at ‘You Heeyeol’s Sketchbook’, capturing the eyes and ears of music fans.
On KBS 2TV ‘You Heeyeol’s Sketchbook’ broadcasted on the 5th, TREASURE performed the rock version of ‘MMM’, the title track of their official debut album.
TREASURE’s 12-member live performance comprised of their perfect harmony and group dance proved why they are called the ‘global super rookies’. The rock version of ‘MMM’ performed with the live band sounds created harmony with TREASURE’s glamorous performance, emitting strong charisma.
On the other hand, the talk with TREASURE was friendly and fun. TREASURE revealed their thoughts by stating, “It was a show we dreamt of appearing on, and it is an honor to have such an opportunity” and introduced themselves by stating, “We are a group capable of a sharp group dance which artists of YG haven’t presented before”.
The special skills by members of TREASURE also impressed the viewers. They showed acrobatics and voice impressions, presenting not only passion as rookies but also their versatile talents. You Heeyeol and the bright reactions by TREASURE members made the viewers burst into laughter.
On You Heeyeol’s request to sing a song at the spot, main vocalist BANG YE DAM performed Sam Kim’s ‘MAKE UP’ after stating, “I wanted to be evaluated”. You Heeyeol, who was listening to BANG YE DAM’s reinterpretation and his fantastic vocals, kept on praising him by stating, “You’re really good”.
Meanwhile, TREASURE proved their global popularity once again by being selected as ‘The fastest rising K-Pop artist of 2020’, according to Twitter’s 2020 K-Pop report. TREASURE was also ranked at no. 6 on the ‘TOP 10 most loved K-pop artists in the world’ list, which was the highest rank among all rookie artists.
In fact, TREASURE has achieved a milestone of surpassing over 1M in album sales with ‘THE FIRST STEP SERIES’. With their successful activities and the fans’ support, TREASURE received rookie awards at numerous major award ceremonies, and are currently scheduled to make official Japanese debut on March 31.
