“Comeback D-1” YG TREASURE Reveals Themselves in Purple Suits for the First Time… Mystic Charisma
[OSEN=지민경 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE revealed themselves in purple suits with only a day left until the release of their official debut album, raising the global fans’ anticipation to the max.
On January 10, YG Entertainment uploaded ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ D-1 poster through their official blog.
The 12 members wore elegant purple suits with mystic vibes. Purple is the combination of red and blue, which signify strength and elegance. As it is the color that represents intuition, insight, imagination, pride, and ‘positivity’, TREASURE is expected to present exciting moods through their upcoming performances.
The purple suits revealed today are one of the outfits that will appear on the MV for ‘MY TREASURE’. TREASURE has previously raised the fans’ curiosities through the ‘MY TREASURE’ MV teaser which presented a fantasy fairytale-like set and CG.
TREASURE has presented themselves in free and comfortable casual looks, school uniforms, and street Hip-hop fashion. TREASURE’s performances added with their unique teen-crush charms and their suit fits raise curiosities on how they will attract the viewers on the upcoming MV for ‘MY TREASURE’.
‘MY TREASURE’ is TREASURE’s first attempt on a bright mood Pop genre song. The intro began with a beautiful piano melody. The MV story going back and forth between reality and fantasy unfolded as the story progressed, while the exciting sounds that came out with the full-scale variation made the listeners’ shoulders move.
The main 12 sentences from the lyrics of their title song ‘MY TREASURE’ have also been previewed, which led to positive reviews. Warm words such as ‘Fresh as you woke up from a dream’, ‘Better days will shine’, ‘We’ll eventually shine’, and ‘Don’t ever lose your smile’ have comforted the hearts of numerous fans.
YG has previously described the song by stating, “The song’s lyrics contains meaning that everyone is a unique treasure-like being”. They explained, “The song contains the hopeful message of ‘Let’s cheer up in hard times. The sun will rise and shine again tomorrow’”.
TREASURE’s official debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ will be released on the 11th at 6 PM. The album includes a total of 12 tracks, while TREASURE plans to meet the fans 2 hours prior to the release of their album, on the 11th at 4 PM, through the Naver V LIVE ‘COUNTDOWN PARTY’.
