‘Comeback’ AKMU, “Been Waiting For This Day… Feel the Preciousness”
[스타뉴스 =윤상근 기자] Group AKMU(LEE CHAN HYUN and LEE SUHYUN) shared their thoughts on making comeback in a year.
On November 16 at 1 PM, AKMU held an online comeback press conference. The group will release their new single ‘HAPPENING’ today at 6 PM through major online music platforms.
LEE SUHYUN stated, “I’ve been waiting for our comeback date. I was recently active as a solo artist, so I feel the preciousness of AKMU”. She added, “There are many good things about being focused solely by myself for 5 minutes, but I did feel pressure. When I’m part of AKMU, I feel comfort and security”.
LEE CHAN HYUK stated, “I wanted to make comeback with multiple songs, but came back with songs that can be heard with ease with the fans’ requests”.
AKMU is making comeback in approximately a year and 2 months since the release of their third album ‘Sailing’. AKMU’s third single ‘HAPPENING’ was written·composed·produced by LEE CHAN HYUK, while MILLENIUM who co-composed iKON’s ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ and guitarist SIHWANG participated in the creation of the track.
Regarding the song ‘HAPPENING’, LEE CHAN HYUK introduced, “It is about being protective from the regrets, failure, and memories coming from persisting emotions and relationships” and added, “I feel pity and an odd appeal when a person with emotions that are wounded and ripped apart act as if he doesn’t, and ‘HAPPENING’ is a story about those people”.
He also added, “It tells the story on what kind of actions one will take when he’s visited by another love”.
