TREASURE Confirms Comeback on November 6… ‘Third Album’ in 3 Months Since Debut
[매일경제 스타투데이=이다겸 기자] Group TREASURE will make comeback on November 6. It will be their third album in 3 months since the group made debut. YG’s fast speed·focus strategy is ongoing according to plan, which is grabbing the people’s attention.
On October 26, YG Entertainment revealed TREASURE’s ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER THREE’ coming soon poster through their official blog.
In front of a screen showing lightening with a dark background, the members of TREASURE presented silhouettes of their backs. The release date ‘2020.11.06’ was also marked in the poster with a large font, which excited the global fans.
It is 49 days since the release of their second single album. Considering their active period on promoting their title track ‘I LOVE YOU’, it is a fast comeback in less than a month since the group’s comeback. It is unprecedented in YG, the agency known for long periods between releases due to high standards. It shows YG’s confidence and that TREASURE is a well-prepared group.
TREASURE has presented fierce music and group dances through their debut song ‘BOY’ and ‘I LOVE YOU’. The global fans are already looking forward to what genre their upcoming single will be, in addition to the new charms the group will present.
YG has previously announced that TREASURE began shooting their MV and revealed, “The song is a different genre from all singles they’ve release until now” and added, “Director Seo Hyunseung, who is in charge of BLACKPINK’s MVs, will be directing for the first time. You can look forward to it”.
TREASURE is expanding their global realm and popularity at an unprecedentedly fast pace in YG. After making a glamorous debut with ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ on August 7, TREASURE has proved themselves as the ‘monster rookies’ by charting their single album not only in Korea, but also in various global charts in the US, Japan, and China.
TREASURE has also reached a total of 500 thousand accumulated album sales until now. The results are significant for a rookie group and is a positive signal which is impossible without the heated support of global fans.
