Watch BLACKPINK’s ‘Ice Cream’ Dance Performance Through 3D Avatar… Exclusive Release in Zepeto on the 2nd
[엑스포츠뉴스=최희재 기자] People can now watch BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez’s ‘Ice Cream’ dance performance through a 3D avatar video.
On September 1, YG Entertainment uploaded the ‘Ice Cream’ dance performance video teaser through their official blog and BLACKPINK’s official Instagram account.
Despite being a short 12-second clip, 3D avatars of BLACKPINK members danced to the exciting intro melody of ‘Ice Cream’.
The video was a collaboration of BLACKPINK and Zepeto. Zepeto is a global AR avatar service operated by Naver Z, which first presented BLACKPINK’s 3D avatar back in June.
The full dance performance of ‘Ice Cream’, which was unavailable through the MV, will be exclusively available in Zepeto starting tomorrow(2nd).
In addition to the avatars of 4 BLACKPINK members, Zepeto also prepared various items such as Selena Gomez’s 3D avatar and the ‘Summer Retro’ concept outfits.
YG and Zepeto explained, “Since the situation nowadays make it difficult for the group to hold concerts where they can meet the fans in person, we’ve prepared a 5-member performance of BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez, recreated in 3D avatar”. They made the global fans look forward by adding, “The world’s first-ever virtual fan signing event will also be held on September 3 at 12 PM”.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s ‘Ice Cream’ and its MV is receiving heated popularity on various global charts.
The song ‘Ice Cream’ topped the iTunes Worldwide Song chart on the date of its release, was placed on the top ranks of Spotify’s Global Top 50 and US Top 50 charts, while the MV of the song surpassed 100M views in 1.5 days. The video is dominating the YouTube Trending Worldwide chart for 4 consecutive days.
