The song ‘WAYO’, released today(5th) at 6 PM, expresses the lonely and empty question of not being able to accept a breakup. The moment of breakup being passed on by BANG YE DAM, who is still a teenager, is not mature but is expressed by the underlying and repetitive question, ‘why’. The song’s lyrics were written by YOON of WINNER, LEE CHAN HYUK of AKMU, and FUTURE BOUNCE.

The song is composed with the basis of an electric guitar loop. The minimal arrangement set to allow listeners focus on BANG YE DAM’s rhythmic vocals sound impressive. The calm drums and his voice singing ‘why’ create a harmony to leave a lingering image.

BANG YE DAM also raised engagement of the track by appearing on the music video for ‘WAYO’ himself to act a young boy expressing his nonintact sadness.

TREASURE, the group BANG YE DAM is part of, is a boy group being presented by YG in 5 years following BIGBANG, WINNER, and iKON. The team is composed of members selected from ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, the agency’s self-produced survival program, and will make official debut in upcoming July.
