“YOSHI of Light→BANGhopper”… YG’s Rookie Group TREASURE Holds a Sportsfest Full of ‘Excitement’
[OSEN=연휘선 기자] Members of YG’s rookie group TREASURE presented big fun for the viewers through their sportsfest of rivalry.
On May 1 at 12 PM, YG Entertainment uploaded episode 16 of ‘TREASURE MAP’ through their official blog and TREASURE’s official YouTube channel.
The video presented the first sportsfest of TREASURE, the ‘TREASURE Athletic Championship’. The members desired to win, and the individual matches began with BANG YE DAM’s pledge.
The event began with the standing long jump. The eldest member CHOI HYUN SUK flew lightly but fell behind as if he jumped, while DOYOUNG and PARK JEONG WOO also stumbled and fell, making everyone burst into laughter. MASHIHO, who looked unusual as he warmed up, showed his amazing talent and won 1st place. YOSHI who claimed to be the ‘dark horse’ also performed well. HARUTO also jumped lightly and earned the nickname ‘grasshopper’, and won second and third place, respectively.
Unexpected results came through during the flexibility test. BANG YE DAM and SO JUNG HWAN received high scores at an instant by spreading out their arms. PARK JEONG WOO who showed strong confidence won first place by leaning his flexible body and earned the nickname ‘folding phone’ from the members, making the viewers burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, YOON JAE HYUK who was frustrated that “Everyone performs well except for me”, could not even reach the starting point with his hands, making everyone laugh. HARUTO also recorded a negative figure even with his tall height and long legs, while JUNKYU screamed “Argh” as if his muscles were strained when he pulled out his arms, making the viewers burst into laughter.
The ‘sweet chemistry’ among the members happened during sit ups, making the event look like a sports drama. JIHOON and JUNKYU showed will by going up and down dynamically, while CHOI HYUN SUK sang a sweet song for them. HARUTO and PARK JEONG WOO, the one of the best athletes of the team, showed their passion with their fast moves.
YOSHI and BANG YE DAM put up a close race during the 50m race, becoming the ‘YOSHI of light’ and ‘BANGhopper’. SO JUNG HWAN, the youngest member, was ranked at no. 1 and no. 2 on the sit ups and race, reaching the highest accumulated score on the individual matches of TREASURE Athletic Championship.
After completing the individual matches, TREASURE noticed a team match on the second episode which will be uploaded next week, making the viewers look forward to it. The cookie clip showed the members competing for the cheering prize, raising curiosities on the next episode of ‘TREASURE MAP’.
‘TREASUARE MAP’ is a video content containing the story of 12 creators heading toward the subscribers’ hearts(TREASURE). While currently on their full-scale debut project, TREASURE is communicating with the global fans through various contents in addition to ‘TREASURE MAP’, including ‘TMI’, ‘A 3 Minute TREASURE’, and ‘Fact Check’.
