iKON Reveals ‘Dive’ MV Making Film… “Please Show Support”
[마이데일리=박윤진 기자] Group iKON captured the hearts of music fans through their message contained on the song ‘Dive’, the title song of their latest album.
On February 7, YG Entertainment uploaded the ‘Dive’ MV making film. In the video, the members explained the MV concept and symbolic metaphors that were implicit.
The MV is filled with performances visualizing the lyrics of ‘Dive’. They express themselves burning in flames with their bodies or dashing forwards, which delicately connect with each other.
The individual scenes of iKON members maintain the strong feeling of ‘Dive’ as well as expressing the hidden meanings of the lyrics.
For example, BOBBY throws himself down to a cliff, while JU-NE broke a wall to go forward. JAY acted as if he was stuck inside a frame, CHAN struggled with both of his arms tied to vines, and SONG was with flowers bloomed on top of broken glass.
Regarding the scene where arrows were pouring at him while having his eyes blindfolded, DK explained, “I wanted to express that ‘I’m okay’ even if it hurts like sharp objects piercing through me, and that I am into you even if I’m blindfolded”.
BOBBY expressed his fond emotions towards iKONIC(fan club), who have waited for iKON for a long time, by stating, “We’ve dived into you with our song ‘Dive’. Thank you, and please show a lot of love and support”.
iKON released their third mini album ‘i DECIDE’ on February 6 at 6 PM. The title song ‘Dive’ received positive reviews that its strong country-feeling melody sounds catchy and was ranked high on multiple music charts.
Other songs of the album also successfully charted in, proving the album’s high level of completion. DK’s first-ever produced song titled ‘Flower’ received enthusiastic reviews.
