iKON’s MV for ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ Surpasses 300 Million Views… Proves Steady Popularity
[헤럴드POP=박서현기자] iKON’s MV for ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ surpassed 300 million views, proving the group’s steady popularity.
As of today(19th) at 3:25 PM, iKON’s MV for ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, the song which swept music charts last year, surpassed 300 million views on YouTube.
YG Entertainment uploaded a celebration poster which showed iKON’s freewheeling energy and masculinity, through their official blog(www.yg-life.com) to congratulate the group’s new record.
It is not an exaggeration to say that iKON’s ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, the title song from iKON’s 2nd album ‘Return’, is a song which rewrote K-Pop boy group history for during the past 10 years. The group set a milestone by maintaining their no. 1 spot on major real-time music charts for 43 days and dominating weekly charts for 6 consecutive weeks.
Furthermore, they have set their own best record by collecting the most number of trophies through Korean music broadcasts. The song received heated support from the public, allowing iKON to win a total of 11 trophies.
In addition, the group also proved their global popularity by topping iTunes Album charts in 17 different countries, the KPOP Weekly chart of QQ Music for 4 consecutive weeks, and being ranked at no. 1 on Japan iTunes Album Comprehensive chart. The video also became the most popular MV watched by Korean users on YouTube in 2018, becoming the most loved K-Pop MV released last year.
iKON is currently going through their busy schedules, including their recent PRIVATE STAGE and fan meeting tour in Japan. CHAN and SONG are currently communicating with the fans through their personal YouTube channels.
The group also has the ‘iKON JAPAN TOUR 2019’ ahead, which will begin on July. The upcoming tour will begin in Fukuoka from 7/27~7/28, and continue in Hyogo from 8/9~8/11, in Nagoya from 8/21~8/23, in Miyagi on 8/25, in Chiba from 9/7~9/8, and in Osaka from 9/18~9/18. Their tour will be consisted of 14 concerts in a total of 6 cities in Japan.
iKON is also preparing for their second festival performance in the US as they have confirmed their appearance at the ‘HEAD IN THE CLOUDS FESTIVAL’, which will be held in LA, California.
