MINO Retakes the No. 1 Spot on Music Charts with ‘FIANCÉ’ [CHART OFFICE]
[뉴스엔=황혜진 기자] Group WINNER’s member MINO retook the no. 1 spot on music charts with his new song, ‘FIANCÉ’.
Among the rush of new releases by artists with influence on music charts, ‘FIANCÉ’ retook the no. 1 spot on Melon’s real-time chart as of December 9, 12 PM. The song was also positioned at the top ranks on Genie, Olleh, Soribada, Mnet, and Bugs.
The title song ‘FIANCÉ’ from MINO’s first solo album ‘XX’ released last month on the 26th at 6 PM is maintaining its no. 1 position on Melon’s Daily Chart for 12 consecutive days, as of December 7.
MINO has also previously won 2 trophies in music broadcasts through Mnet ‘M Countdown’ and MBC ‘Show! Music Core’, proving his popularity as a solo artist. MINO shared his thoughts at the time by stating, “Thank you so much. I sincerely thank my fans, ‘Inner Circle’. President YANG HYUN SUK and YG, I thank you and I love you”.
The song ‘FIANCÉ’ samples a popular song from the 70s titled ‘Soyanggang Maid’ and captures the ears of listeners with its familiar melody, variation in rhythm, and catchy lyrics. The lyrics metaphorically state a missed one as ‘fiancé’ or ‘blue bird’, which is original and brilliant.
In addition, ‘XX’ topped iTunes Charts in 17 different countries, while the song ‘FIANCÉ’ topped iTunes Charts in 9 different countries. MINO not only proved the heated interest on MINO as a ‘solo artist’ in Korea where he’s continuing his no. 1 march, but also overseas.
While receiving the spotlight in and out of Korea, MINO will continue his fantastic performance through SBS ‘Inkigayo’ airing on December 9.
