“The Most Important Factor in Life is ‘Music’” … MINO Decorates the Cover for a Chinese Fashion Magazine [PICTORIAL]
[스포츠조선닷컴=정안지 기자] MINO decorated the cover for a Chinese fashion magazine, proving his heated popularity in the Chinese region.
MINO decorated the cover for ‘YOHO!GIRL’ December edition, which revealed MINO’s charismatic pictorials along with an exclusive interview. MINO looked perfect in blonde hair which is hard to pull off, grabbing the viewers’ attention with sophisticated visuals.
MINO released his first-ever solo album titled ‘XX’ last month on the 26th and is currently maintaining his no. 1 spot on various music charts. Regarding the title of the album ‘XX”, MINO explained, “I wondered what kind of cool word will express the feeling of my comeback” and continued, “I wanted the public to fill out the ‘XX’ themselves while listening to my sings. I made attempts on various genres of music that I like as ‘solo MINO’. The expressions are sincere and contain my unique personalities”.
MINO also showed off his tight friendship with the members of WINNER by revealing his affections towards them. He expressed YOON as ‘a good friend and trusty leader’, JINU as ‘an older brother that makes me feel at ease’, and HOONY as ‘a funny older brother who I always play jokes with’, revealing his gratitude and friendship with the members.
While also being active through variety programs other than music, MINO received a lot of love and support with his various characters from ‘New Journey to the West’ season 3 to season 6.
MINO who acts as a charismatic idol on stage and the youngest son without burden on variety programs explained, “I enjoyed ‘New Journey to the West’. I kept a balance so that me enjoying time with my brothers on variety programs would not collide with myself doing the best in creating music”.
After receiving a lot of love this year with his first-ever solo album and variety programs, MINO still chose ‘music’ as the most important factor of his life. MINO revealed his special affections towards music by stating, “I feel the happiest when I translate my inspirations and emotions I would like to express into music. Music that makes me not get bound to something is the most important factor of my current life”.
MINO participated on the writing, composing, and producing of all 12 tracks on his first solo album ‘XX’, presenting his growth process as an upgraded musical artist.
The song ‘FIANCÉ’ samples a popular song from the 70s titled ‘Soyanggang Maid’ and captures the ears of listeners with its familiar melody, variation in rhythm, and catchy lyrics. The lyrics metaphorically state a missed one as ‘fiancé’ or ‘blue bird’, which is also original and brilliant.
MINO’s album ‘XX” topped iTunes Album Charts in 17 different countries while the song ‘FIANCÉ’ topped iTunes Song Charts in 9 different countries. He proved the heated interest on MINO as a ‘solo artist’ in Korea with his no. 1 march on music charts for 13 days, and overseas with iTunes charts results.
While receiving the spotlight in and out of Korea, MINO will continue his performances through MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ broadcasting today (8th) and SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 9th.
