X ACADEMY’s Board Member Lee Jaewook, “Will Lower the Entry Barriers of YG Through the Academy”
[스타뉴스=이정호 기자] X ACADEMY’s co-representative director Lee Jaewook explained that YG wanted to create an ‘open platform’ by establishing the academy.
In the press conference for ‘X ACADEMY’ held in X ACADEMY in Mapo-gu Seoul on the 9th, representative Lee Jaewook stated the following words.
“One thing we felt while running an audition program was that there are many talented and aspiring individuals. However, the people who we would like to work with usually already have a contract with another agency”.
Co-representative director Kim Woojin added, “We wanted to create a platform open for discussion on both sides, since existing auditions are usually one-sided. We also wanted to create an opportunity for the public who would like to experience YG’s culture. We will lower the entry barriers of YG. Please feel free to challenge”.
X ACADEMY is a dance & vocal academy established by YGX, YG Entertainment’s subsidiary company launched on 2018 near Hongdae. It will be a culture and art education institution that will pass on the training system, culture, and experience of YG accumulated for the past 22 years for not only trainees, but also the public.
X ACADEMY will be open to anyone who would like to experience YG Entertainment’s education system as a hobby, exercise, or promotion of health.
