[COMPREHENSIVE] ‘Radio Show’, iKON Talks About #LOVE SCENARIO #YANG HYUN SUK #FEMALE IDOLS
[엑스포츠뉴스=오수정 기자] Group iKON revealed their honest charms through ‘Radio Show’.
On KBS Cool FM’s ‘Park Myeong Soo Radio’ aired on the 28th, group iKON (B.I, JAY, BOBBY, YOON, JU-NE, DK, and CHAN) made guest appearances for a talk show.
Park Myeong Soo asked iKON about the ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ syndrome, the song being an anthem among elementary school children.
B.I stated, “I’ve seen in a news article that the song became forbidden since the kids sing the song too much in elementary schools. I’m happy and surprised. You know they do it more when you tell them not to”, which made everyone burst into laughter.
JU-NE stated, “Our president (YANG HYUN SUK_) is working hard after the success of ‘LOVE SCENARIO’. We feel like we should try harder. We should not disappoint him”. YOON added, “The president sends more messages through our group chat. I guess they pay more attention after the song went well. We’re grateful that he sends us messages often”.
B.I who was credited as a songwriter of ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ honestly stated, “The royalties let me eat delicious food and buy what I want. It’s not a small amount”. He continued, “I didn’t feel pressured when creating songs before ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ came out. However, creating ‘KILLING ME’ did put me under pressure since it was released right after ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, and people expected a lot. I had to take that into mind, so it was difficult”.
On the difference between different idol groups, JU-NE responded, “All members of iKON are like comedians. That’s our differentiation. There has to be 1~2 members who act cool and stay quiet, but all 7 of us in iKON are like comedians”.
JAY stated, “We like to party. We party like we’re drunk on stage. That probably make us look different”. CHAN stated, “People tell us that ‘iKON makes us comfortable’. They like the way we play comfortably like normal kids in our age would”.
Park Myeong Soo was curious about their relationships with female idol groups, and iKON responded, “We’re shy. We just stick to ourselves. We share stories that don’t make sense”. They continued, “We talk about females a lot too, not just female idols. It would be weird to talk about guys with a bunch of guys. But nobody specifically receives a lot of contact from female idols. We’re all the same”, which made everyone laugh.
Meanwhile, iKON recently released their new mini album ‘NEW KIDS : CONTINUE’. The title song ‘KILLING ME’ was composed and written by B.I and contains sad vibes on a fast and fierce beat. They expressed the feelings one goes through after breakup with the heavy but common phrase, ‘KILLING ME’.
After achieving the most successful results since debut with the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, iKON is receiving a lot of love with a ‘dark and sexy’ concept.
