BLACKPINK’s ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ Sets Another Record by Reaching 40 Million Views… The Best Among All Girl-Groups

On June 16 at 8:55 PM, the MV for the title sing ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ from BLACKPINK’s first mini album ‘SQUARE UP’ surpassed 40 million views in 27 hours since the video was released.
With their record of surpassing 10 million views in 6 hours, 20 million views in 13 hours, 30 million views in 23 hours, and 40 million views in 27 hours, they swept and re-wrote every pre-existing time records by K-Pop girl-groups.
According to the ‘Top 10 Most Viewed MVs In the First 24 Hours’ announced by U.S. Billboard, BLACKPINK had the best record among all girl-groups in the world, and was placed 4th among all artists in the world.
The group proved their nickname ‘view count fairies’ by re-writing various records after making comeback.
After achieving ‘all-kill’ in real-time and daily charts, ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, released back on the 15th, set another milestone by surpassing 1 million users in 24 hours since its release. It is the best record among girl-groups after the music chart reform was made.
Furthermore, ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ continued their ‘all-kill’ status for two consecutive days in various music charts including Melon, Mnet, Naver Music, Genie, Soribada, Bugs, and Olleh, as of today (17th) at 9 AM.
