The ‘3 Brothers From YG’ Conquer Gaon Chart, Side by Side

[중앙일보=김정연 기자] The 3 brother groups from YG Entertainment including iKON, BIGBANG, and WINNER conquered Gaon Chart, side by side. 

According to Gaon Chart results revealed on the 12^th, WINNER topped the Album Comprehensive Chart for the 14^th week with their 2^nd official album ‘EVERYD4Y’. They were also ranked at no. 1 in the Downloads Comprehensive Chart, winning a total of 2 titles. Their full-length album released in 4 years summarizes WINNER’s challenge and growth in musicality. The title track ‘EVERYDAY’, which is a song in a Trap genre, wittily expresses the theme of spending ‘every day with the one you love’. 

Meanwhile, iKON and BIGBANG topped the monthly charts, side by side. iKON was placed at no. 1 in the Comprehensive Monthly Streaming Chart for 2 consecutive months with the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ following their no. 1 on February. Although it’s been approximately 3 months since their 2^nd official album ‘RETURN’ and its title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ has been released, they are still performing well on charts due to the song’s long-run popularity. 

BIGBANG topped the Monthly Downloads Chart in March, proving their steady popularity despite members’ enlistments. The song ‘FLOWER ROAD’ which is a gift for the fans after the members’ enlistments is maintaining its high popularity. They dominated various weekly charts from the 11^th to the 14^th week, including Digital Comprehensive, Downloads Comprehensive, and Streaming Comprehensive Charts.
