[OFFICIAL] iKON Will Reveal ‘RUBBER BAND’ Performance For The First Time At ‘Inkigayo’ On The 11th
[OSEN=정지원 기자] Group iKON revealed the highly anticipated choreography for the song, ‘RUBBER BAND’.
On March 7, 11 AM, YG Entertainment revealed a video of iKON practicing the group choreography for the new single, ‘RUBBER BAND’ through their official blog.
As they displayed detailed choreography for the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, a choreography with various moves that fits smoothly with the melodies and lyrics which grabbed attention of the viewers.
The catchy move iKON performs as if they are stretching a rubber band with both hands during the chorus makes the viewers want to follow the interesting yet catchy move.
The song ‘RUBBER BAND’ metaphorically portrays an unstable relationship between lovers before farewell, as a tight rubber band that can fall apart at any time. The honest lyrics about love and the catchy chorus captures attention of the listeners, making the song popular among many fans. iKON’s leader and producer B.I collaborated with MINO from WINNER, creating a synergy effect.
The new single proved iKON’s popularity by being ranked high in music charts after its release on the 5th. They were not only successful in Korea but also overseas, by taking the no. 1 in iTunes Charts in 11 different countries, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Macau, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
While setting a milestone in 10 years by being placed at no. 1 for 42 days, iKON’s ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ received the triple crown for 3 consecutive weeks at SBS ‘Inkigayo’ aired last week.
To extend their activity period in Korea, iKON released the new song ‘RUBBER BAND’. In ‘Inkigayo’, the artist cannot perform the song at the broadcast if it’s placed at no. 1 for 3 consecutive weeks.
Therefore, iKON will continue performing ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ in MBC ‘Music Core’, while performing the new song ‘RUBBER BAND’ in SBS ‘Inkigayo’. They will continue active promotion in Korea with the two songs until the end of March.
The performance broadcast of ‘RUBBER BAND’ will be available at SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 11th. Furthermore, iKON will meet the fans through their first official fan-meeting in Korea by holding ‘iKON 2018 PRIVATE STAGE ‘RE·-KONNECT’ on the 11th.
