SECHSKIES Goes on Choi Hwajeong’s Power Time and Says, “We hope that YANG HYUN SUK gives us 10 billion won as allowance.”
[엑스포츠뉴스=전원 기자] SECHSKIES members met up to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut. They were relaxed and brutally honest in a fun way.
On September 27, SECHSKIES appeared as a guest on Choi Hwajeong’s Power Time on SBS Power FM.
On the show, SECHSKIES talked about how their concert was at the Gocheok Dome. They said that they were exhausted because of their busy schedule, and especially so because they had to do something early in the morning.
EUN JIWON was proud of their fifth album, their first new album in 18 years, and gave all the credit to their fans. He said, “Our fans are our PR managers. They promote us to younger people. Before, teenagers didn’t really know us, but now they do. A short while ago, we had a high-five event, and many high school kids came to see us.”
Members bantered with each other, which was entertaining. It was clear that they care for each other a lot as they’ve been together for a long time. They even said, “We don’t even congratulate each other on our birthdays. It’s better to celebrate birthdays on our own.”
SECHSKIES was shy about people telling them that they are an idol group that has always been at the top for 20 years. EUN JIWON made people laugh by saying, “We are six stones. I’m basalt, LEE JAIJIN is a round stone, and KANG SUNGHOON is a pebble.”
SECHSKIES’s new songs, “SOMETHING SPECIAL” and “SMILE”, are the epitome of SECHSKIES style dance songs and ballads. The songs show that SECHSKIES is trying something new with their music and that they are growing as artists. YANG HYUN SUK handpicked the title songs himself.
KANG SUNGHOON said, “YANG HYUN SUK did a lot for us. Before we started making this album, he told us to have faith him and just follow his lead. We thought that was the right way to go too.”
LEE JAIJIN said, “I hope that he gives us 10 billion won as allowance money.” Other members booed him, giving everyone a big laugh. He went on to say, “YANG HYUN SUK doesn’t like getting presents. It makes him feel uncomfortable.”
KIM JAEDUCK said, “I liked shopping, but I lost interest recently.” Other members revealed that he only buys luxury brands and joked that it was because he’s nouveou rich.
EUN JIWON said, “I haven’t saved up a lot. I don’t intend to. I invest in myself. I buy everything I want to buy.”
SECHSKIES also talked about singers they have their eyes on. EUN JIWON picked PSY and LEE JAIJIN chose Dream Catcher.
Meanwhile, SECHSKIES recently released their 5th album “ANOTHER LIGHT” and will continue to make appearances on music shows.
