“Under the Black Moonlight” in which NAM TAEHYUN plays the title role will be aired for the first time on May 24 in China
In “Under the Black Moonlight” that has total nine episodes, WINNER’s NAM TAEHYUN acts as “Kang-woo”, a college student majoring in fine arts, who has outstanding talent. The drama series that has drawn big attention already completed all the shooting last year.
Famous actress Kim Seora acts as the mother of Kang-woo who looks like a perfect guy but keeps many secrets. Rookie actress Kim Soo-yeon acts as “Wolha”, Kang-woo’s girlfriend, to lead a deeply intriguing story with NAM TAEHYUN.
Notably, Kang-woo’s mother acted by actress Kim Seora adds up to the tension of the thriller drama, as a mother who has gone through a wide variety of hardships after the death of her husband, in order to pass on a solid business to her son, but who also has a big obsession with her son.
Kim Soo-yeon who acts as Kang-woo’s girlfriend Wolha is a promising rookie actress who has acted important characters in SBS TV’s “I Hear Your Voice” and MBC TV’s “Shining Romance”. In “Under the Black Moonlight”, she plays a double role.
Plus, rookie actor Yim Seon-woo, Jeong Do-hyeon, and Kim Hwa-yeong who have acted in independent films so far as well as Lee Ye-rim who had been a child actor are cast along with NAM TAEHYUN and Kim Soo-yeon, to help the development of the horror story of “Under the Black Moonlight”.
Head producer Go Dae-hwa of the drama’s production company Aura Media said, “As ‘Under the Black Moonlight’ was shot 100% before its broadcasting, its quality will be very good. Thus, it will draw big attention when it is released in China and then in Korea. It is a rare opportunity for drama lovers to enjoy a rare thriller TV drama”.
“Under the Black Moonlight” is the first drama series jointly produced by Korean company Aura Media (CEO Yim Seong-kyun) that also produced SBS TV’s “Dr. Stranger” and China’s production company Guanya Media (冠亚传媒).
