[People is] iKON ranked high on charts for their song sung in “Sugarman” show

[일간스포츠=황미현 기자] The song group iKON sang in JTBC’s “Sugarman” show is ranked high on music charts.

iKON sang a remade version of Mose’s “It’s Love” in “Sugarman” show aired on the 19. The song is now drawing a big attention, staying in No.1 on the chart of music-streaming website Dosirak and in No.2 on the charts of Mnet and Soribada.

Such a record is proving iKON’s unlimited potential. It is a very meaningful achievement for a rookie singer to take a top place on charts with a song they sang in a TV show.

“It’s Love” was sung by iKON members JU-NE, KIM DONGHYUK, and BOBBY in “Sugarman” show. DEAN, a next-generation top producer, rearranged the song, to create it into a new, more sensual version. iKON members added rap directly written by BOBBY to the sentimental ballad, to be acclaimed by the audience for the newly-created urban hip-hop R&B.

iKON member JU-NE and KIM DONGHYUK presented sweet and tender vocal and BOBBY displayed charismatic rap, to create the maximum synergy.

The show’s MC Yoo Jae-suk who was in the same team with iKON was fascinated by the iKON version of “It’s Love” and extolled iKON’s performance. The other MC Yoo Hee-yeol also gave two thumbs up to iKON’s performance.
