WINNER unveils “PRICKED”… The biggest sensation for 2016 has begun
[엑스포츠뉴스=한인구 기자] Group WINNER has kicked off their comeback project for the year 2016 by unveiling new song “PRICKED”.
WINNER (KANG SEUNGYOON, LEE SEUNGHOON, SONG MINHO, NAM TAEHYUN, and KIM JINWOO) met fans in live-broadcasting “ENTRY NIGHT” on search engine NAVER’s V-APP on the 10.
In the broadcasting, NAM TAEHYUN said, “We’ve finally come back. I really missed you”. Then, KIM JINWOO said, “We did countdown just by ourselves last year, but now we’re doing the countdown with fans, so I’m really happy.”
WINNER first gave their new year’s greetings to fans by making a bow, and then talked about what they feel about the year 2016.
SONG MINHO talked about his goal for the year 2016 by saying, “I want to be busy. I want to work so busily to the extent that I don’t have any time to unwind myself even for a while”. Then, NAM TAEHYUN said, “For this year, I want to work busily in Korea. I want to go even closer to fans.”
KIM JINWOO added, “I hope people around the world would well-know WINNER. Personally, I want to act in a film or TV drama series.”
Then, LEE SEUNGHOON said, “I feel like we’re like the icon of absence. I renewed my resolution and passion for music during the time of absence, so I feel like I’m making debut once again. Rather than thinking ourselves as a ‘singer’, I feel like we’re making a debut after the time of training. I’ll work hard as if I’m a rookie again.”
KANG SEUNGYOON said, “My biggest wish for the new year is to record a long-run hit with the new song ranked in No.1.”
WINNER promised that they will create an album cover for “PRICKED” and post it on social media account, if their new song takes No.1 on charts.
Then, WINNER said they have written a lot of songs during the time of their absence and they will hold concerts in Korea this year.
KANG SEUNGYOON said, “The members have written more than 50 songs during the time of absence. When including songs not recorded yet, the number is almost 100. I think 20 out of them could be unveiled during this year.”
NAM TAEHYUN said, “We will officially announce the schedule for WINNER’s concert soon.”
“We’ve held concerts mostly in foreign countries so far, unintentionally. We’ll meet fans in Korea in concerts this year”, said KANG SEUNGYOON.
WINNER unveiled “PRICKED” on V-APP before its official release. “PRICKED” is a song of SONG MINHO and NAM TAEHYUN’s sophisticated rap and vocal harmonized with the tender melody of acoustic guitar.
In V-APP broadcasting, WINNER members concentrated on the song, nodding their heads to the rhythm of “PRICKED”.
WINNER has now kicked off their comeback project for the year 2016 in earnest with “PRICKED”. The team is releasing a new album after one year and five months of absence.
