iKON Releases a Dance Version MV for “APOLOGY”
[스타뉴스=문완식 기자] A dance version MV of “APOLOGY”, the title track of iKON’s double digital single album, has been released.
At 9 AM on November 28, YG Entertainment uploaded the dance version MV for iKON’s “APOLOGY”on their official blog (www.yg-life.com).
Earlier on in the morning of November 27, YG released the behind-the-scenes video of this dance version MV film. Later on that day, YG uploaded a countdown poster, raising the expectations for the new music video.
The new dance version MV is a black and white video that shows soft but restrained group dance for “APOLOGY” plus the characteristic dance of each member.
“APOLOGY” is a slow R&B song about the pains of sorrows of a man who failed to stand by his lover. It was the first collaboration song between iKON and YG’s top producers TEDDY and KUSH.
The MV was released along with the song on November 16. iKON members gained recognition for their excellent acting in the music video. As of November 28, the music video posted 3,825,968 views.
iKON came up with the second music video for “APOLOGY”, creating a bigger sensation.
It is very rare to make two music videos for one song given the fixed budget. However, although “APOLOGY” is a slow R&B song, it is also a song that shows well the unique choreography of iKON members, and this is why a second dance version music video was made.
iKON will be appearing on SBS’s Inkigayo on November 29 and perform “APOLOGY” with its choreography for the first time. B.I and BOBBY will also be performing “ANTHEM” on the show.
iKON has been busy with the release of their double digital singles. Next year, on January 30-31, they will be holding a concert at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium – the place where they held their debut concert in October.
