Teaser image of iKON’s KIM JINHWAN unveiled… Boasting perfect shape of face and sorrowful eyes for the song “APOLOGY”
[OSEN=박소영 기자] The iKON member for the third comeback teaser has been turned out to be KIM JINHWAN, the eldest member of iKON.
On the 13 at 9am, the third teaser image of “iKON – DOUBLE DIGITAL SINGLE ‘APOLOGY” was unveiled on YG entertainment’s official blog.
In the image, KIM JINHWAN is catching the eyes of fans, with a facial expression as if he is just about to burst into tears. His eyes full of sorrow and a dandy look coming from the slender figure of his face are creating a perfect harmony.
The lyrics of “APOLOGY”, which goes “The promise to be together forever does not exist any longer. I’m sorry that I could not have protected you” also draw a keen attention from fans. The teaser image of KIM JINHWAN unveiled three days before iKON’s comeback is raising fans’ expectations for the new songs to be presented by the complete team of iKON.
Beginning from the teaser image of B.I unveiled on the 11 this month, the individual teaser image of JU-NE was unveiled on the 12 and KIM JINHWAN’s teaser image was unveiled on the 13. The teaser images of the other members will also be released before iKON’s comeback on the 16.
“APLOGY” is an R&B song with a slow-tempo, which expresses a man’s sorrow and pain of breaking up with his lover unwantedly. B.I and BOBBY directly took part in writing the lyrics of the song, while YG’s main producer TEDDY and KUSH also helped for the lyrics, composition, and arrangement of the song.
The fact that iKON and YG’s main producers worked together for the new songs is drawing a keen attention. For “MY TYPE” and “RHYTHM TA” released in iKON’s half album, they tried medium-tempo and original hip-hop, respectively. Now, iKON tries a new genre of slow-tempoed R&B.
Plus, “ANTHEM”, a song of the B.I and BOBBY’s unit team and the sub-title track for iKON’s comeback, will be also released. As the two songs will present different appeals of iKON at the same time, music fans’ expectations for iKON’s comeback for this time are rising high.
iKON will release the music and videos of “ANTHEM” and “APOLOGY” on the 16 at 0 o’clock and a full album on December 14.
