At Their Debut Concert, iKON Will Perform Songs in “WELCOME BACK” Album For the First Time

At 6PM on October 3, iKON’s debut concert “SHOWTIME” will take place at Olympic Gymnastics Stadium. iKON will be performing “MY TYPE” and the songs in their debut album “WELCOME BACK” for their fans, who have waited for them to debut for such a long time. iKON made a “record-breaking debut” with their single “MY TYPE” and their debut half album “WELCOME BACK” dominating the charts upon release. The group has swept the charts at home and abroad without even making a TV appearance.
According to YG Entertainment, the following three points make the concert of the “monster rookie” even more special.
# iKON prepared for their debut for two years.
iKON has gained recognition as a talented and gifted group even before their debut through the survival show “WIN: WHO IS NEXT(WIN)” and “MIX & MATCH”. B.I established a name for himself as a talented songwriter by participating in making the music and lyrics of WINNER’s “EMPTY” and EPIC HIGH’s “BORN HATER”. BOBBY proved his excellent rapping skills by winning Mnet’s Show Me The Money 3. This is why iKON has such a wide fan base for a group that has just debuted, and the fans have been waiting for their debut for about two years since “WIN”.
iKON rehearsed numerous times for their first concert and even rented a similar venue to make the practice seem more real. YG Entertainment’s CEO YANG HYUN SUK supervised the rehearsals and checked the stage equipments, lighting, and sound himself.

It is very rare for a rookie to hold a debut concert in such a big venue. As soon as the ticket sale started, all the tickets for the 13,000 seats were sold out. This shows that iKON has an exceptionally strong ticket power for a rookie.
Expectations are running high for iKON’s debut concert “SHOWTIME” since they have became a sensation upon debut.
Meanwhile, iKON will make their first TV appearance on October 4 on SBS’s Inkigayo to promote their album.
