[People IS] With Only a Day To Go Until Their First TV Appearance, “iKON is most confident about performing on stage and doing live performances”
[일간스포츠=황미현 기자] At last, iKON will be making their long-awaited first TV appearance.
On October 4, iKON will appear on SBS’s Inkigayo to perform the tracks of their debut album. Two years have passed since “WIN” and it is their first TV appearance since they have released their warm-up single “MY TYPE”. So, fans are looking forward to see them on TV more than ever before.
Most groups get nervous before their first TV appearance. However, iKON is excited and confident about their performance on SBS’s Inkigayo.
A staff member at YG Entertainment told Ilgan Sports, “iKON members practiced even during the Chuseok holiday to prepare for their comeback stage and their debut concert ‘SHOWTIME’. Since they have practiced really hard, their first stage will be great.” He went on to say, “iKON is most confident about performing on stage and doing live performances.” This shows that they are prepared and ready to hit the stage.
Instead of being nervous, iKON members expressed how happy they are about their TV appearance by saying “We’re all set to go on the stage. We’re really excited” during their live video on Naver’s V app on September 30. Expectations are running high for their first TV performance.
The title track of iKON’s debut album “RHYTHM TA” has swept the online charts upon release. The song became No.1 on the iTunes charts in Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Also, “RHYTHM TA” ranked 42nd in the US and 40th in Canada, demonstrating that iKON is popular not just in Asia but also in North America.
iKON has proved themselves as the “monster rookie” with their hit warm-up single “MY TYPE”. And now, their debut half album “WELCOME BACK” is rocking the charts. On October 3, iKON is to hold their debut concert “SHOWTIME” at the Olympic Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul and meet their fans.
On October 4, they’ll be appearing on SBS’s Inkigayo and put on a one of a kind performance.
