The release of iKON’s “RHYTHM TA” is imminent… Will iKON sweep music charts again?
[헤럴드 리뷰스타=전윤희 기자] iKON has unveiled the poster of their new song “RHYTHM TA”, which shows the feeling of tension.
Before iKON’s full-fledged debut, the poster that announces the release of “RHYTHM TA”, the title track of the team’s debut half album, has been unveiled.
On the 28 this month at noon, YG Entertainment raised fans’ expectations for iKON by posting a poster titled “iKON DEBUT HALF ALBUM”, on the company’s official blog.
The poster shows the back of seven iKON members in red basketball jersey marked with each one’s name and back number, the title of “RHYTHM TA” which is one of the double title tracks of the debut half album, as well as information that the music and music video will be unveiled on October at 0 o’clock on-line.
The poster especially catches the eyes, as it well-expresses the tension and excitement of iKON members who are soon to make their official debut with their half album, like that of a basketball players right before the beginning of a match.
Before the release of the poster, iKON further raised fans’ excitement by announcing the track list of six songs to be included in their debut half album “WELCOME BACK” on the 24 of this month. While “RHYTHM TA” and “AIRPLANE” have confirmed to be double title tracks, the news drew all the more attention as it was known that B.I and BOBBY took part in writing the melody and lyrics of all the songs of the album and JU-NE also worked as a co-composer of “RHYTHM TA”.
iKON’s debut half album will be released on-line on October 1 at 0 o’clock and off-line on October 5. Before that, iKON will closely communicate with fans by holding a variety of events.
On the 30 this month at 9pm, “OPENING CEREMONY” for iKON’s mini-sports match “WELCOME BACK WITH NAVER V” to be live-broadcasted on NAVER V-APP will be held. In the “OPENING CEREMONY”, iKON will introduce their half album and talk about what kind of match they will show, before the beginning of the match in earnest.
Plus, “KONBUS SIGNING DAY” event in which iKON’s fans write their supporting messages on “KONBUS”, a giant bus wrapped with the word “iKON”, will be held on the same day. Notably, the fans invited to the event will have a special opportunity to listen to the highlights of the six songs to be included in iKON’s half album, so fans are showing high expectations for the event.
After heralding the birth of “monstrous rookie” by sweeping the No.1 on the real-time, daily, and weekly charts upon the release of their debut warm-up single “MY TYPE” on the 15 this month, iKON will have debut concert “SHOWTIME” at the Olympic Gymnastics Hall in Seoul on October 3 to finally meet their fans who have long been waiting for the team’s debut.
